Minecraft Hoenn Region: Part 5 Route 105 & 106

Part 5 of the creation of the Hoenn Region in Minecraft.

In this part Route 105 and Route 106 got constructed. The route's are water routes and they are the first water routes that the player travels on with Mr Briney. Most of the rocks have been places where they would go in the game but I think some rocks may be out of order. But despite that it looks almost like the route in the game.

It has been a while since I last updated the blog because I have been quite busy doing other things.

ROUTE 105
Route 105 connects Route 104 to Route 106, or Petalburg City to Dewford  Town. The route features mostly rocks and small sandy islands. It also features the Island cave, home to Regice.

There were two types of rocks. Large brown rocks and smaller, light blue rocks. The larger rocks are made entirely of dirt and are styled to have curved edges. The light blue rocks have a base made of sand which resides underwater with light blue clay placed on top.

The first step is to lay down the base of each rock. The next is to detail all of them. It is quite a repetitive process but it does make the route look excellent in the end.

The Island Cave where the legendary Regice resides.

This is the interior of the island cave. Because in the Minecraft world it is built underwater there are particle effects to make the ceiling appear to leak.

Tree's are manually placed on the sandy beaches because if they were to be grown with saplings, bone meal and a grass block there is a risk that the grass will spread to the dirt blocks making up the rocks which will spoil the appearance of the rocks.

Route 105 completed.

ROUTE 106

Route 106 connects Route 105 to Dewford Town. It's a little bit shorter than Route 105 and the only landmark is Granite Cave. Granite cave is where the player meets Steven Stone who is the Hoenn Pokemon Champion.

And that's all there is. The Red sand is where Granite cave is getting built in the next part. Just south of the beach is where Dewford Town will be built. Route 106 only took less than an hour to build.

That's all the progress so far.
In the next part I will cover Granite Cave and Dewford Town
Stay tuned.

If you have any tips for improvement please don't hesitate to share. It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading.
